Dear West Fresno Elementary Parents and Guardians,

Another school year is about to begin for the students of West Fresno Elementary School.  We are preparing for a wonderful school year and working hard to prepare your students for success!  School begins in only two weeks on Tuesday, August 15.

Our school has had a make-over this summer that includes new paint on all buildings, as well as restroom remodels for all student restrooms.  We hope you take pride in the work that was done on campus and help to keep our campus looking nice all year long.

In addition to the exterior renovations, our school has received a new English Language Arts (ELA) Program and a new English Language Development (ELD) Program.  The new program is published by National Geographic and includes wonderful pieces of both information and literary text.  We will use this new program to continue pushing your students to read, write, listen, and speak at grade level standard.  Our new program will continue to ensure students at WFES acquire the necessary literacy skills to be successful in the next phase of their schooling.  Along with our new ELA and ELD program, we will continue small group instruction based on student’s reading levels.

These are only a few of the amazing programs that will enhance the academic experience for the 2017-2018 school year.
